June 17 • 4–6 PM • $TBD
This class rounds out the courses on wine structure by discussing the techniques winemaker use to harness structural components of wine. Winemaking decisions play a major role in how a wine looks, smells, and tastes. In this session, we’ll explore the impact of techniques such as oak aging, stainless steel fermentation, and other stylistic choices that influence texture, flavor, and complexity. By tasting wines produced using different methods, you’ll learn to recognize how production shapes style across regions and grape varieties. This class provides a behind-the-scenes perspective that deepens appreciation for the craft of winemaking.
