James Kutemeyer started his wine journey in 2020 during COVID-19 lockdown by joining some friends in an online tasting class. From there his interest in wine grew and he started taking WSET classes. He completed levels I, II, & III by the end of 2021. James began working full time in the wine industry at a wine bar in Old Town Alexandria. While in this role he was able to create wine menus and work with fellow somms on a monthly wine club. In September 2022 he moved into the distribution when he joined the Lanterna Distributors team.
